The MDSC Buddy Walk Program is the state’s largest public awareness platform to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. The Buddy Walk & Family Festival, our signature walk, takes place during National Down Syndrome Awareness Month and draws in 4,000 people to celebrate our community and support the important work of the MDSC.
Fundraising Goal: $475,000
We ask that all walkers, ages 13 and up, strive to reach the $150 fundraising minimum by October 31st.
Your fundraising efforts are critical to our mission and directly impact programs and services that provide hope to new and expectant parents, training to medical professionals and students, best practices to educators, opportunities for teens and adults, and a strong voice on Capitol Hill.
• Adults - $20.00
• Children & Young Adults (22 and under) - $10.00
Registration includes all walk festivities and your event t-shirt. T-shirts are only guaranteed to people who pre-register. All others are given out while supplies last. Lunch can be purchased for an additional cost.

About Our Theme
Our theme “Walk for Real Lives” is about MDSC’s mission to ensure people with Down syndrome have the ability to lead meaningful lives. It’s also a celebration of who people with Down syndrome are and what their hopes and dreams are for the future. Their aspirations are just as “real” as the rest of society’s. The theme also stems from a new legislative bill that the MDSC and advocacy organizations across the state are supporting this year.
